Generatio Gap

Definition As times change, generations change too and this leads to a generational gap. A generational gap is the age gap between people belonging to two different generations Everything is affected with the change of time-the age, the culture, mannerism, morality, and thinking. Therefore,no two generations have shared the same views and options . Example The most common example of generation gap seen in the family is between parents and their children. Reason The basic reason is the difference of and age among generations.

This difference brings out a wide change in the making of the society and its culture. Firstly, young generation has received more help from the previous generation. People from the previous generation did not get things handed out to them. They had to work hard and struggle to earn a nice life. Now since they have achieved this and have the ability to make life easier for their future generations, they provide help for younger generation so they would not have to go through the same hardships they had to endure. Secondly,lt is not only because of the gap in age but also because of the way parents react to a particular situation. Children may not understand the way of thinking of their parents. In many cases, the parents don''t adapt to changing of society and think about pattern of the modern world. _Moreover, advancement in technology is also an important reason. Children tend to spend most of their time with their digital devices and busy with social media that they do not discuss their problems with their parents.

The internet provides solutions to most of the worldly problems that children instead of contacting their own parents use the help of the internet in case of any problem. Young generation definitely has it easier and has more opportunities to succeed in their future. Besides, due to religious teachings where parents are very strict with the duties their kids have to follow _ But the key factor that makes my generation different is their open mindedness. The older generation seems to be more closed minded to different ideas and viewpoints, while my generation seems to embrace them .

They do not talk openly to their children and take part in solving their problems. Many parents do the mistake of evaluating children by comparing their age with that of parent''s when they were in the same age. Result That differences have led to consequences affecting the family relationship Some parents become too busy with their work that they don''t spend some quality time with their family which makes them completely unaware about how their children are growing, what kind of mentality is being developed. The children become mentally isolated from their parents. Moreover, some children look at parents as "enemies" who do not let them live the way they want to-staying out late, wearing fashionable clothes, or choosing their own friends. _ Difficulties in relationships with taking drugs, refusing to attend school, running away from home, or even turning to violence. In such cases, parental threatening and yelling usually don''t work. Solution There are no solutions to the "generation gap". The best thing to do is to try to bridge the "generation gap". Everyone in a family should try listening to each other _ Parent must be close to their children and treat them equality. They should show interest in all their matters and deal with them positively instead of Just scolding them and leaving them alone to deal with their problems. parents should take the initiative to start a calm, serious discussion with their children Besides, let them xpress all their feelings to you 0 From deep friendly attachment with parents, kids will learn to respect them and obey them.

Lesson From all that things, we can learn a lesson that each one of us need to open our thoughts about relationships and improve it. Conclusion In summary,we can see that _ There will always be a gap between my generation and the previous ones before it. Therefore, the older and younger should have more time to understand each other _ldeally, the best of the old and the new ought to be integrated for the true and smooth evolution of mankind.
